A Cute Way to Display & Organize Your Jewelry!

Courtney Okuda - Monday, June 25, 2012
For those of you who are obsessed with having things organized like me, dealing with all the jewelry I've collected over the years has been a consistent struggle.  Owning my own business means I'm always on the go and need to find the right accessories quickly and easily.  There have been countless times when I find the perfect necklace and it's all tangled up - grr!  I have tried jewelry drawers, jewelry boxes and ALL of the jewelry organizers at the Container Store, but nothing seemed to work...until I found the article below.

You basically use push pins (and they have really cute ones now at stores like Target and Office Max), and hang your necklaces on the wall, which also serve as darling decor!  I also hung the matching bracelets with the necklaces and lined my watches and earrings neatly on a cute platter.  Now I run out of the house perfectly accessorized without any of the headache :)

My Favorite Shoes of 2012!

Courtney Okuda - Sunday, June 03, 2012
One of my customers was wearing these AMAZING shoes, and I immediately became obsessed with them!  The Trott Cutout Wedges are a perfect combination of femininity with an edge.  And to top it off, it's seriously comfortable!  I am only 5'2" and need the height, but am used to my toes being smushed to the front and just dealing with the blisters and loss of circulation.  But with these wedges, the platform front combats the high heel angle and the wider peep-toe is perfect for my wide feet - sheer genius!  I am on my feet ALL DAY and can wear these the entire time and still be able to go to dinner and drinks with them on :)  I ended up scouring the internet for other available colors, and bought the 2 I found - grey and toffee suede on endless.com and basically switch back and forth between the 3.  I had resolved myself to living a life of pain for beautiful shoes, so I am truly grateful to Rebecca Minkoff for this fabulous blessing!

Best Deodarant Remover Ever!

Courtney Okuda - Sunday, June 03, 2012
My cousin gave me this amazing "Rescue Sponge" for my birthday and I am a complete believer!  It removes deodarant marks with just a few strokes, as well as other marks from makeup, dirt, etc., which I come across at the boutique.  The sponge comes in a pack of 2 for $10 and can be purchased online at missoops.com.  I'm also thinking about carrying them at Kula Sweet :)  They have a range of other products to make womens' lives easier, which is always a wonderful thing!

The Inn At Palmetto Bluff...I'm Obsessed With This Place!

Courtney Okuda - Sunday, June 03, 2012
Last year I was lucky enough to visit The Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina and it is officially my favorite vacation spot!  The people, the food, the service, the dolphins swimming in the rivers - oh my!  It's the ideal place for "getting away from it all" because it truly feels like a different world, and the resort has all of the activities and amenities that you could ever want or need - spa, golf course, gyms and fitness classes, boats and kayaks and boards, deelish restaurants, adult-only and kid-friendly pools, bikes and my fav "adult trikes", horses, and list goes on and on spread over 20,000 acres and right on the water.  Did I mention complimentary smores every night?  Oh and the wonderful sweet tea that they stock your refrigerator with?

And if you want to venture out, the resort is located close to Hilton Head Island, Beaufort and Savannah-Georgia by boat or by car.  They have a great deal with Mercedes where you can drive one of the cars they have in their fleet for free or rent one of their boats.  I could easily spend all day writing about how much I adore this place, but I'll stop myself and leave you with some pics to give you an idea of what Palmetto Bluff has to offer!

The River House - where you check-in, also has a great restaurant, bar, wine cellar and event rooms.

There are spaces like this all over the property where you can sit and look out onto the water...

These are the cottages and cottage suites amidst the beautiful mossy oaks...

This is the inside of the cottage suite, which also comes with a bar with non-alcoholic drinks and snacks that they replenish daily, a fireplace and a great sound system throughout.

This is the bathroom I want in my place!  It's connected to a gorgeous dressing area too :)

And this is the porch that all of the rooms have...some look onto a lake and others onto the river (my fav!), but either way, just breathtaking...

Just had to include this one...
