Kula Sweet is an upscale women's clothing boutique that carries unique, high-quality apparel and accessories from a carefully curated selection of U.S.-based designers.
To blend the aloha spirit of the Hawaiian Islands with the California vibe that all is possible.
That each and every customer feels welcome, appreciated, beautiful and part of the Kula Sweet ohana (family).
Kula Sweet is named after the town in Maui where founder Courtney Okuda's grandparents - Tadashi & Mildred Okuda - live. Kula Sweet is dedicated to them as well as the rest of her family who helped raise her and instilled the values of hard work, integrity, loyalty and generosity. Her family's unconditional love and immense support empowers Courtney to dream big, follow her heart and strive to help others, which is the foundation of Kula Sweet.
Courtney’s love of fashion began at an early age through her shared love of shopping with her Grandma. This evolved into a passion for "boutiquing" where Courtney sought out to find unique pieces to add to her wardrobe after becoming disenchanted with the overall mall experience and its homogenous products.
After years of working in Corporate America, Courtney decided to take a leap of faith and follow her dream of being a business owner. Kula Sweet opened its flagship store in November 2011 in Los Altos, California.
